Prof. Adeogun, a Professor of Health Education & Promotion, with more than 20 years of lecturing experience attended the Methodist Primary School, Ogbe, Abeokuta and later attended the Macjob School of Commerce, Onikolobo, Abeokuta for his secondary Education.
He later obtained the Teachers Grade Two Certificate from the Divisional Teachers College, Ayetoro.
His zeal for further education took him to the then Ogun State College of Education where he obtained the Nigeria Certificate of Education (NCE), in 1990. His love for further education made him proceed to the University of Port Harcourt, Rivers State for his Bachelor’s Degree in 1995, the Ogun State University (now Olabisi Onabanjo University), Ago Iwoye for his Master in Education and later his Ph.D. from the Prestigious University of Ibadan in 2008.
Prof. Adeogun joined the services of the then Ogun State College of Education, Ijebu-Ode on 1 October 1999 as a Lecturer III and rose steadily through the ranks to become a Professor in October 2016. He served as Dean of the College of Science and Information Technology (COSIT) and was appointed Deputy Vice Chancellor of the University. Following the appointment of a new Vice Chancellor after his tenure as Acting Vice Chancellor, he returned to his position as Deputy Vice Chancellor. With the restructuring of the office into Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic) and Deputy Vice Chancellor (Administration), Prof. Adeogun now serves as the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Administration).
He has over 60 scholarly publications to his credit.
