Prof. Samuel Ekundayo Oladipo – Vice Chancellor
Prof. Samuel Ekundayo Oladipo is a Professor of Social Psychology and an experienced academic administrator with decades of teaching, research, and leadership experience.
He was born on 29 June 1969 in Akinmoorin, Oyo State, into the family of late Mr. and Mrs. Amos Oladipo. He attended St. Andrew’s Demonstration School for his primary education and later studied at Oke-Olola Community Grammar School and Adeola Odutola College for his secondary education, where he graduated with outstanding results.
Prof. Oladipo obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Theology from Christian Theological Seminary in 1996. He later earned a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology and a PhD in Social Psychology from University of Ibadan. He also obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Education from Olabisi Onabanjo University.
He began his academic career as a lecturer at Elohim School of Ministry before joining Tai Solarin College of Education in 1999. Following the transition of the college into Tai Solarin University of Education, he became a foundation faculty member and rose to the rank of Professor in 2014.
Prof. Oladipo has served the university in several leadership positions, including Director of the Directorate of Research and External Relations (DRER), Dean of the College of Specialized and Professional Education (COSPED), Sub-Dean of COAVOT, and Chairman of the University Result Vetting Board.
He has also held academic appointments at Adekunle Ajasin University and North-West University. His research interests include spirituality and health, educational research, gender-based violence, child abuse, and psychological assessment.
A prolific scholar, Prof. Oladipo has over 70 peer-reviewed journal publications, several edited academic books, and more than 15 Christian books to his credit. He is professionally affiliated with organizations such as the American Psychological Association and the Psychological Association of Nigeria.
Until his recent appointment, Prof. Oladipo served as the Director of the Directorate of Research and External Relations (DRER).
