All is set as the Management of the Premier and the Preferred University of Education, Tai Solarin University of Education, ljagun, Ogun State rolls out drums to celebrate its 12th Convocation Ceremony.
The Convocation Ceremony will kickstart with an Interdenominational Christian Prayer on Sunday, 21st, November 2021 at the TASUED Christian Chapel, ljagun, Ogun State by 12.00noon.
Honorary Doctorate Degrees would be conferred on the Paramount Ruler of Remo Land and the Akarigbo of Remo, His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr) Babatunde Adewale Ajayi, Torungbuwa Il, the Paramount Ruler of Yewa Land, and the Olu of Ilaro, His Royal Majesty, Oba Kehinde Gbadewole Olugbenle, Ashade Agunloye the IV and the Chief Executive Officer, Airtel Nigeria, Mr Segun Ogunsanya for their immense contributions to the development of Nigeria and Ogun State in particular.
Other events slated for the Convocation Ceremony includes a Health Walk on Monday, 22nd November 2021 at the University Sports Centre by 8.00 am.
A Press Conference is also scheduled for Tuesday, 23rd November 2021, where the Acting Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Wole Banjo FWISON, FASN would host the media.
Exhibition and Drama by the College of Humanities,(COHUM) hold on Wednesday, 24th November 2021.
The Vice Chancellor’s football competition finals would follow on Thursday, 25th November 2021.
A Special Jumat Service and an Alumni Cocktail will hold on Friday, 26th November 2021.
While Convocation Ceremony for First Degrees holds on Saturday, 27th November 2021 and the grand finale which is the Convocation Ceremony for Postgraduate and Award of Honorary Degrees and Convocation Lecture would take place on Sunday, 28th November 2021.
The Governor and Visitor to the University, Prince Dapo Abiodun, MFR is the Special Guest of Honour.
