POST GRADUATE COLLEGE PROVOST BAGS PRESTIGIOUS MATHEMATICS FELLOWSHIP

The Provost of the Institution’s Postgraduate College, Professor Olufemi Fatade has been honoured with a Fellowship from the Mathematical Association of Nigeria (MAN).

The award ceremony took place recently at the National Teachers’ Institute (NTI) headquarters in Kaduna State, with distinguished scholars in the fields of mathematics in attendance.

The leadership of Mathematics Association of Nigeria emphasized that the award recognises the outstanding contributions of Educators who have excelled in their respective fields. Other members of the institute were thus encouraged to strive for excellence, reaffirming MAN’s commitment to promoting the quality of mathematics and inspiring young Nigerians to show interest in the subject and be functionally literate.

Professor Fatade, a distinguished Mathematician, has served the state with distinction throughout his career. His previous roles include serving as the Rector, D.S. Adegbenro ICT Polytechnic Itori, Ogun State, and former Director of TASUED’s Information and Communications Technology (ICT) amongst others.

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Oluwole Banjo, FWISON, FASN, FAIMP, dfsin, congratulates Prof. Fatade, describing him as “an erudite scholar and a computer guru.

He further encouraged Professor Fatade to continue his excellent work, which brings honour to the University.
