The Acting Vice-Chancellor, Tai Solarin University of Education Ijagun, Prof. Wole Banjo has assured the Nigeria Police, Ijebu Ode Area Command of the Institution’s support in curtailing all forms of crime.
Prof. Wole Banjo stated this when the new Area Commander, Ijebu Ode Area Command,Assistant Commissioner of Police, Adeniyi Edward Omosanyin paid him a courtesy visit in his office recently.
The Acting Vice-Chancellor observed that ACP Omosanyi’s records of success in Bayelsa and Kaduna States were outstanding and glaringly for all to see.
“We have heard of your great exploits and we are assuring you that the University would support you in ensuring that you perform the same feat here in Ogun
State”,the Acng Vice Chancellor added.
Prof. Banjo disclosed that at TASUED, there is zero tolerance for crime and all other forms of an-social vices. He then wished the new Police boss a happy stay in Ijebu land and Ogun State.
In his response, ACP, Omosanyin stated that he was on a familiarisation visit to Community leaders, Heads of tertiary institutions and other stakeholders in his command.
He appealed to the Management to cooperate with him in his mission to rid Ijebu Ode of cultism and other an- social menace currently affecting the area.
The Area Commander also called on parents and guardians to warn their children and wards to desist from perpetrating crime, as the Police will not hesitate to apprehend lawbreakers.
On the entourage of the Area Commander, were Admin Officer,ASP Gbenga Folorunso; the Chairman, PCRC, Otunba Fatai Agbolade and the Public Relations Officer, Police Community Relations Commiee (PCRC), Dr Tolani Hassan.
