The Vice-Chancellor, Prof Oluwole Banjo, FWISON, FASN, FAIMP, dfisn has charged Muslims on the need to live a selfless but impactful life befitting of a true Muslim.
He gave this charge while giving his opening remarks at the 2025 Ramadan lecture organised by the TASUED Muslim Community with the topic,’ THE JOURNEY OF MAN AFTER LIFE ACCORDING TO QU’RAN AND SUNNAH’.
He urged them to maintain a sense of gratitude and humility throughout the Ramadan period noting that Ramadan offers an opportunity for self reflection, seeking forgiveness and making positive changes in one’s life.
Prof Banjo related fasting to an academic environment, where you have to read, write, study hard, write examinations and tests to move to higher level.

“Fasting is not just about abstinence from food and drinks, but also from acts that are sinful.
Use this blessed month to strengthen your relationship with Allah(SWT) through increased prayers, recitation of the Quran and acts of charity “, the Vice Chancellor further added.
The Guest lecturer, Prof. AbdulRahmoni Oloyede from the University of Ibadan, while speaking on ,’The journey of Man afterlife according to Quran and Sunnah’, noted that there is life after death and grave.

Man’s position in afterlife, be it a life or enjoyment or suffering would be judged by our works while alive here on earth.
“What we experience and the time we spend in grave is much more than life,it is eternity.
How you live life determines your position and welfare in the afterlife. Therefore, do good”, the Islamic Scholar further noted.
