Tai Solarin University of Education, the Nation’s Premier and Preferred University of the 21st Century, Celebrates 20 Years of Excellence in Education
The University is the first University of Education in Nigeria, Second in Africa and Eight in the World. It came into being by the approval and pronouncement of the Ogun State Government on 29th January 2005 and also by the approval and certification of the National Universities Commission on 28th November 2005. The management is proud to announce its 20th anniversary, marking two decades of providing high-quality Education to Students in Nigeria and beyond.
Since it’s transition to a University from the erstwhile Tai Solarin College of Education in 2005, TASUED has grown to become the leading University of Education in Nigeria, known for its academic excellence, innovative research, and commitment to Community Service.
To commemorate this milestone, the University has planned a series of events and activities to kick-start the celebration as outlined below;
Event Day 1: Wednesday, 29th January, 2025
- Press Conference / Goodwill Messages – Senate Chamber, Ijagun Campus.
- Unveiling of Anniversary Logo and Letterhead – Academic Building, Ijagun Campus.
- Release of Anniversary Balloons / Campus Funfair by Students – Academic Building, Ijagun Campus.
Event Day 2: Wednesday, 5th February, 2025.
- Special Senate Session – Senate Chamber, Ijagun Campus.
