The Vice Chancellor, Prof Samuel Oladipo MNPA, CMCPN, MCAN, FIELPN, has declared the University’s readiness for the 2026/2027 academic session, assuring students and other stakeholders that the facilities, lecturers, and Management were prepared to welcome returning and prospective students to a new academic year marked by excellence, innovation, leadership and growth opportunities.
This assurance was given after an inspection tour of some newly renovated academic buildings across the University by the Management as part of preparations for the new academic session.
The renovation was funded by the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) Project Maintenance Intervention 2025. Prof. Oladipo stated that the inspection was carried out to assess the quality of work, determine the level of completion, and ensure that the projects met the University’s required standards.
Speaking during the exercise, the Vice-Chancellor stated that the inspection was part of the Management’s commitment to ensuring that infrastructure interventions translate into a more conducive environment for teaching, learning, and research.
The Vice-Chancellor emphasised that a conducive academic environment remained essential to achieving excellence in teaching, promoting research and innovation, which will further support the holistic development of students.
He disclosed that the University Management would continue to prioritise the maintenance and upgrading of its facilities.
The Vice-Chancellor described the renovated buildings as an important component of the University’s vision to develop a modern institution that supports quality education, digital innovation, research excellence, and student success.
He expressed satisfaction with the progress recorded on the projects, noting that the upgraded facilities would enhance the learning experience of students and improve the working environment for staff.
He thereafter assured returning students that they would be welcomed back to an improved University environment, while encouraging prospective students to choose TASFUED as their preferred institution for quality university education.
” The University remains committed to providing excellent academic programmes, modern facilities, experienced lecturers and opportunities that would equip students with the knowledge, skills and values required to compete effectively in the global environment”, he further assured.
While expressing appreciation to the Federal Government of Nigeria and the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) for their continued support for the development of the University, particularly through investments in critical infrastructure, he noted that such interventions contribute significantly to the University’s efforts to strengthening its position as a leading institution for Teacher Education and academic excellence in Nigeria.
Professor Oladipo further assured parents and guardians that TASFUED remained committed to providing a safe, conducive and student-friendly environment in which students could thrive academically and develop the competencies required to succeed in a rapidly changing world.
He reiterated Management’s determination to sustain the monitoring of ongoing projects, maintain existing facilities and implement initiatives that would continually enhance teaching, learning and research across the University.
