Childhood Education
Florence Taiwo Ogunyemi, fondly called Taiwo, is a teacher, researcher, and an advocate of child’s rights and early childhood education. She is a Professor at Tai Solarin University of Education, Nigeria. Taiwo had all her university degrees from University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria. She was a Postdoctoral Fellow (2015 – 2017) at Department of Childhood Education, University of Johannesburg, South Africa. Prof Ogunyemi is a Research Fellow at Department of Childhood Education, University of Johannesburg, South Africa. She had published journal articles both in national and international outlets. Her resent publication is “from traditional learning to modern education: Understanding the value of play in Africa’s childhood development in South African Journal of Education. 40 (2) , 2020. She is currently working on – Language acquisition and performances as indices for child’s total development and Instructional and managerial practices in a university teaching school: issues for productive teacher development. Taiwo is married to Prof. Biodun Ogunyemi and the union is blessed with children.
