AJALA CLINCHES TASUED STUDENTS’ UNION PRESIDENCY

In a fiercely contested Students’ Union election hailed as the fairest in the institution’s history, Comrade Emmanuel Ajala has emerged victorious.

Comrade Emmanuel Ajala secured a total of 2027 votes, to defeat his closest rival Ikechukwu Uformadu, who gathered 1448 votes.

Announcing the results via the institution’s ICT monitoring screen, the Chief Electoral Commissioner, Ogunsina Ibrahim officially declared the election concluded and announced the winners:

•⁠ ⁠Assistant General Secretary: Opeyemi Alonge
•⁠ ⁠Public Relations Officer: Faith Julius
•⁠ ⁠Financial Secretary: Precious Olanipekun
•⁠ ⁠Treasurer: Ahmed Adeleye
•⁠ ⁠Welfare Officer: Abass Ismail
•⁠ ⁠Transport Officer: Emmanuel Adebayo
•⁠ ⁠Social Director: Damilola Tejumola

In his response after the election, the Vice-Chancellor Prof. Oluwole Banjo FWISON, FASN, FAIMP, dFSIN, congratulated the newly elected student leaders on their success, affirming his commitment to an open-door policy, while soliciting the support of the student’s leaders in ensuring that the institution remains peaceful.
