TASFUED TRAINS SENIOR STAFF ON FEDERAL COMPLIANCE SYSTEMS

The Management of Tai Solarin Federal University of Education recently organised a one-day training for Heads of Departments, Heads of Units, and other Senior Officers.

The training, held at the TETFund 2012 Hall with the theme, “INTEGRATING FEDERAL MANAGEMENT REPORTING FINANCIAL GOVERNANCE AND COMPLIANCE ARCHITECTURE”.

It aimed at focusing on integrating Federal reporting, financial governance, and compliance architecture following the University’s adoption as a federal institution.

Declaring the event open, the Vice-Chancellor Prof. Ekundayo Oladipo, MNPA, CMCPN, MCAN, FIELPN represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Academics, Prof. Rotimi Ettu, noted that the session was necessary to align staff with Federal University norms.

Presentations covered change management, Federal governance architecture, financial management frameworks, and procurement processes in Federal Universities delivered by the Director,Directorate of Academic Planning and Quality Assurance (DAPQA); The University Registrar, Mr Dapo Oke; the University Bursar, Mr Kabiru Ogunneye and the Director, Directorate of Procurement.

Prof. Oladipo stressed that full compliance by all units is now critical to the University’s transition.

The training was well attended by senior officers of TASFUED.
