The Council at its emergency meeting today, 22nd October 2025, has appointed Professor Adekunle Olanrewaju Adeogun, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, as the Acting Vice-Chancellor pending the appointment of the substantive Vice-Chancellor for the University.
The appointment will take effect from 4th November 2025 when the tenure of the present Vice-Chancellor, Professor Oluwole Banjo, would terminate.
The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Oluwole Banjo, on behalf of the entire university community, congratulates the Acting Vice-Chancellor and prayed for God’s guidance and benevolence in his new task.
