The Vice Chancellor, Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED), Ijagun, Prof. Oluwole Banjo, FWISON, FASN, FAIMP, dfisn, has congratulated the Nigerian Association for Educational Administration and Planning (NAEAP) on the inauguration of its Ogun State Chapter.
Prof. Banjo, who was represented by the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Prof. Adekunle Adeogun, at the event, commended the Association for expanding its reach and urged its members to uphold integrity and professionalism in all their activities.
The Vice-Chancellor also urged the new chapter to organise academic programmes such as seminars, workshops, and conferences that will culminate in the publication of reputable academic journals.
Prof Banjo gave kudos to the newly elected executive members for emerging as leaders of the chapter, despite the high number of qualified Educational administrators and Planners in Ogun State.
He expressed optimism that the establishment of the new chapter would add value to the growing body of knowledge in the state.
Delivering the keynote address, Dr. Idowu Banjoko, the National Secretary of NAEAP, highlighted the Association’s vision of bringing Educational Administrators together to foster the exchange of ideas and nurture effective leadership. He noted that NAEAP is a globally recognised body affiliated with the Commonwealth Council for Educational Administration and Management (CCEAM).
Also speaking at the event, the National President of NAEAP, Prof. Gospel Kpee, commended the newly inaugurated executives and charged them to take the lead in advancing Educational Administration and Planning in the state. He urged members to bring the Association to the forefront of national discourse, especially as Ogun State is widely regarded as the gateway to Education in Nigeria.
Prof. Kpee also thanked the TASUED Management for hosting the event on short notice.
In his acceptance speech, the newly inaugurated Chairman of the Ogun State Chapter, Prof. Hammed Adeyanju, expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve and pledged to work with his team to promote excellence.
“I feel humbled to have been appointed as Chairman of this esteemed Association. With the support of my executives, we promise to deliver quality services and contribute significantly to knowledge advancement and human capacity development through conferences, seminars, and the publication of high-quality journals,” he stated

The inauguration ceremony was attended by several dignitaries, including the Registrar and Secretary to Council, Mr. Oladapo Oke, FCIA, fsin; the Dean of the College of Specialised and Professional Education (COSPED), Prof. Modupe Hassan; and the Deputy Registrar, Media and Corporate Relations, Mr. Bamidele Babatunde Odugbesan, among others.
