NEWS UPDATE - TASUED STUDENTS' HOSTEL COMMENCES OPERATIONS ...As new SUG leaders sworn in

In fulfilment of his administration's drive to make life more meaningful for students of the University, the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu recently announced the take-off of the University's new hostel accommodation.

The Vice Chancellor made this known at the swearing-in ceremony of the newly-elected members of the Students' Union Government of the University.

Prof. Arigbabu appealed to the students' leaders to be more circumspect in their decisions and warned them to desist from any act that can drag the image of the institution in the mud, noting that the era of violence is now absurd in the 21st century students' union movement.

He further assured the student populace that their welfare will take the front burner of Management decisions while urging them to always be good ambassadors of the University.

In his response at the epoch-making occasion, the newly elected SUG President, Olamide Adeboun, commended the management team for their pro-student decisions, most especially, for conducting an e- election, which was the first of its kind in the history of the institution.

The new SUG President, however, promised that his administration will not derail from the ethics and true values of unionism, with a promise that his tenure will cooperate with the University management in order to move the institution forward.

Adeboun further extended his hands of fellowship to other arms of government, describing them as necessary tool for the success of his government.

The oath of office was later administered by Barr. Bola Balogun of the Legal Unit of the University.
