TAI SOLARIN UNIVERSITY OF EDUCATION SECONDARY SCHOOL(TASUESS)

The School, Tai Solarin University of Education Secondary School (TASUESS), which was founded on 7th October, 1996 is located at the Igbeba Campus of the University. It provides secondary education for staff children and that of the public in general. Products of the school had been coming out in flying colours at quiz competitions and national examinations.

The school curricular cover both the sciences, liberal arts, vocational subjects and Information Communication Technology (ICT). Apart from preparing the students for WASSCE and SSCE (NECO), the school intends to prepare students for international examinations such as Cambridge and International Baccalaureate examinations.

The geographical location of the school puts it at a vantage position for high patronage. It is located upon a spacious piece of land with exciting mixture of old and new buildings. The Igbeba Campus used to house a whole College of Education when it was at Igbeba. TASUESS operates both Day and Boarding systems. The Board of Governors is headed by the Vice-Chancellor’s nominee other members are representatives of the PTA, University Staff Unions and TASUESS Staff representatives.

STAFF SCHOOL

The University Staff School was established in October 21, 1991 to render pre-nursery, nursery and primary education for the children of staff and the members of the public. The school has won many laurels in Ogun State. It shares the same premises with the TASUED Secondary School with common standard football field.

The School is located at the Igbeba Campus of the University which is a serene area of Ijebu-Ode. This exempts it from the hustle and bustle of city life of Ijebu-Ode. The art of learning and teaching facilities co-exist with impressive landmarks buildings.

The school operates only the day system in order to promote home training in children during their formative stage. Many of the school’s products further their education in either TASUED Secondary School or similar international standard school.
