NEWS UPDATE - OGUN ASSEMBLY LAUDS TASUED

...Says it's the most peaceful tertiary institution in the State

Tai Solarin University of Education, Ijagun, Ogun State has been described as the most serene and peaceful tertiary institution in the State.

This encomium was showered on the University recently by the Chairman, House Committee on Education, Science and Technology, Ogun State House of Assembly, Hon. Olayiwola Ojodu who led other members of the Committee on an oversight function to the institution.

Speaking during the visit, Hon. Olayiwola Ojodu commended the Management of TASUED for the prudent manner in which the University manages its resources with a plea to the Management not to rest on its oars by maintaining the tempo of academic excellence in which the University is known for.

While responding, the Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu thanked the Ogun State government for the unalloyed support the institution receives from government, most especially, the release of the hostel facility built by the State Government for the use of students.

The Vice Chancellor also highlighted other achievements of the University which includes the approval of the National Universities Commission (NUC) to commence Ph.D programmes; full accreditation of some courses and prompt payment of staff salaries.

Other members of the Committee in attendance were Hon. Folakemi Juliana Akintayo, Hon. Adebiyi Adeleye, Hon. Akanbi Olusola Bankole, Hon. Adeyemi Harrison and Hon. Oyenuga Olufowobi.
