TASUED VC RECEIVES TASCE ALUMNI AWARD

...Calls for collaboration between the two institutions

The Vice Chancellor of Tai Solarin University of Education, Ijagun, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu has called for a robust relationship between members of staff of Tai Solarin University of Education, Ijagun and that of Tai SolarinCollege of Education, Omu so that teacher education can be improved upon by both institutions.

This appeal was made recently when the National Alumni Association of Tai Solarin College of Education, Omu organised a special reception in honour of Prof. Arigbabu over his appointment as the 4th Vice Chancellor of the University.

Prof. Arigbabu thanked members of the National Alumni of TASCE for their contributions to the Association and further pledged his commitment and dedication to the growth of the body. "I thank you all for the honour bestowed on me and i appeal that the two sisters institutions should cooperate with each other so that they can both achieve their desired goals", he added.

Earlier in his address, the Provost of TASCE, Dr. Adeola Lukmon Kiladese, commended the administrative prowess of Prof. Arigbabu and prayed for a successful tenure for him.

The President of the National Alumni Association, Mr. Julius Adeyemi, described the Vice Chancellor as a teacher of teachers and lover of the Association. He noted that his appointment was a deserved honour because he had prepared himself for the great task from the onset which came as a result of his dedication to duties.

Prof. Arigbabu was later presented with a memento to commemorate his appointment.
