ROTARY CLUB OF IJAGUN WINS E-LEARNING CENTRE FOR TASUESS
...Water project at TASUED Campus
Tai Solarin University of Education Secondary School (TASUESS), Igbegba, Ijebu Ode recently got an upliftment to its ICT / e-learning solution, courtesy of Rotary Club International, District 9110.
The donation, a global grant, was won by The Rotary Club of Ijagun, TASUED, the first institution-based Club in the District.
This feat was made possible as a result of the outstanding performance of the Club in the District and the Award of Paul Harris Fellow in recognition of two members of the club, Rot. (Prof.) Tolu Ogunleye and Rot. (Dr.) Iyabode Eweniyi.
The donation which was initiated under the leadership of the pioneer and immediate past President, Dr. Adefunke Ekine includes laptops, projectors, interactive boards among others. The donation was received by the Chairman, Board of Governors of TASUESS, Dr. Dele Sogbesan, the School Principal, Mrs. Beatrice Olaniyan and other members of staff.
Dr. Sogbesan noted that Rotary Club International has been in the forefront of selfless humanitarian services to Communities globally.
"This gesture is quite commendable and would go a long way in impacting on the efforts of the school in e-learning solutions", he added.
The TASUESS Principal, Mrs. Olaniyan while appreciating the kind gesture, noted that the donation would bring about immeasurable enhancement in teaching and learning through ICT for both teachers and students.
She, however, called on other organisations, corporate groups and individuals to emulate the kind act of Rotary Club of Ijagun,TASUED.
In a related development, the Club also won another grant for a water project to be sunk at the University's main campus, Ijagun.
