Dr. JASILIU AREMU KADIRI, CLN

Dr. Jasilu Aremu Kadiri is the Acting University Librarian. He attended Ikeja Grammar School, Oshodi, Lagos from 1969 to 1974 from where he proceeded to the University of Ilorin and bagged a Bachelor of Arts Degree in (History) in 1981. He then proceeded to the University of Ibadan for his Master’s Degree in Library Studies in 1983. He later obtained his Ph.D at Babcock University, Ilishan – Remo, Ogun State.

He started his career with the then Ogun State University, Ago-Iwoye (now Olabisi Onabanjo University) in 1983. Dr. Kadiri has worked in several organizations; he was a Librarian with the United Nations Information Centre/UNDP Library, Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania; Senior Assistant Librarian, University for Development Studies, Tamale, Ghana and later became the College Librarian, Federal College of Education (Special), Oyo, Nigeria in 2001-2006 from where he moved to Tai Solarin University of Education as the institution’s Librarian in 2006.

Dr. Kadiri belongs to numerous academic and professional bodies which include Nigeria Library Association; Tanzania Academic and Research Library Association; Ghana Library Association and member University Librarians of Nigerian Universities (CULNU) among others.

He is happily married with children.
